Hi All,

After an opinion.

If I replace the front lower suspension arms with metal ones, will that cause damage to my chassis in the event of a crash?
Or will that toughen the car in general to be able to sustain jumps on a standard short course track?

Its generally been my rule of thumb to want the easiest to replace part to be the weak point of my cars. What I mean is you want the arm mounts to be really strong and in the event of a crash just have a broken arm, which is a lot easier to replace than a bulkhead. Just my .02.

Aluminium arms in a basher are bad. Forces from the crashes and landings need to go somewhere, and there are plastic parts meant to absorb the impact and flex it off. 1/5th cars use aluminium arms because their scale needs it.
So yes aluminium arms in your case will do more harm than good.
