Quality tools are never a poor investment. I have a cool dinner party story where I share how a very old, retired GE engineer gifted me his entire tool set just before he passed. All top notch precision machine tools, and some near 70 years old and still in very good condition. At my job, I use them daily.

When I travel, I try to hit pawn shops and antique stores, and from time to time I scoop up excellent tools for pennies. I then clean them up and give them as gifts to close friends and mentors.

I'm not sure how any of this applies to your situation, other than you made a good purchase.

Definitely agree with that, try and save pennies on poor quality tools will cost pounds in the long term, and lots of frustration and skinned knuckles etc!
First piece on the new Ti chassis yay ? ?

After two years of buying cheap tools and stripping out screw heads, just made the move to mip speed tips today. I am now able to get the majority of my stripped screws out.

Yep, quality tools pay for themselves, don't ask how I know. ?
