Missing wire on TSKY 120A ESC

I picked up a job lot of parts to build up a TC including a Reedy Sonic 540M3 brushless motor and a TSKY 120A ESC. The ESC looks brand new but it's missing the 'B' wire (see photos) and it appears like there's never ever been a wire attached at that place, as the socket looks uniformly circular, clean and unused.

The motor itself has three solder points for cables, but no cables attached.

My questions are as follows:

Can I use this ESC without the 'B' cable?

If not, what gauge cable do I need to solder onto the ESC?

I'm thinking of some quick disconnect leads to go between the ESC and motor, so what gauge cable for the motor and are there any socket connectors you guys recommend? I was just going to go with bullet connectors.

Brushless motors need all 3 wires, A,B &C
