Just spoke w my LHS and dude saying the max8 is a diff can size. He’s saying the castle 20series dual fan is avail for this motor. I’ll post link hold on

I checked the castle site and hobbywing. Your can is 56.6mm diameter and the hobbywing is 56mm.
And the 8s xmaxx can says 57.2mm . So that heatsink should infact work for both castle 1100kv and hobbywing 1100

Sometime, you will need to choose between extreme speed, and still being able to bash. Or have you already done that?

While I commend your efforts at speed, a few things I would point out here in the effort of trying to help you out. Hope this comes across as helpful and not me sh!tying on your plans.

Making it wider does not help with speed. Making it longer would. Making it narrower makes it longer. Making it wider makes it shorter. That’s why an Infraction is a great speed platform over a Kraton.

Secondly, you don’t need more power than a 1650kv, or add more unneeded weight. At this point aero is your enemy. I believe if you work on closing up the body on the Mojave you could get it over 100mph. The open cockpit is a bad design. I would use some sheets of lexan to close it up. Lower your ride height as much as possible, especially the front. Keep that nose down, a$$ up.

Just some thoughts. Hope you get it running as fast as you desire. ????????

Alright, she’s gutted. Waiting for few items from m2c, scorched, and pinion. Swapped everything cept for the NTF fans over to the talion! Unfortunately they too big for the body. Picked up a couple other things from LHS today including HD Mojave EXB springs. 70mm 8.6lbs fronts and 110mm rears 3.6lbs. And of course this beauty (since I don’t have enough body’s) to go w the new power!

Not sure if I’m feeling the kraton hubs and axle stubs. I really only did it for the red hex piece to give a small space to prevent different wheels rubbing the hub.
im going to toss the kraton hubs and axle stubs on the talion and use the talion axle stubs and hex piece. The kraton hubs poke a lil too much and my tires will hit the body. I’ll post pics so show the diff.

talion hubs and axle stubs in. No more krojave, now we got us a tojave! Hahaha. Gonna do a lil soldiering tonight getting the massive esc sorted out. I ordered the m2c mounting plate but unsure how well it will hold this huge esc. The wire leads are like 12” long!! Got a reg plug for the throttle in rx AND an Aux that MUST be plugged in to a vacant Aux channel in the rx.... who’s got the xlx2 in their 6s arrma? Could use some pointers or tips on wtf this things about lol.

Update: this is gonna take some serious customization to make this jive!! The massive esc does not and will not fit where the mount is! Picked up the m2c one to use for this build and will not be used in this rig... the battery tray must be set back to the rear position and rx box removed from it. The esc barely fits where the rx used to be. The rx will now go where the esc used to be!!
once my PPS stuff comes I’ll have a better idea but so far this seems to be the ONLY way this poop is gonna work!! Open to any and all suggestions.

Yes!! I noticed that they’re all off balance!! I’m not sure if the headlock is functional but I tightened em all 1/4-1/2 turn to snug em in...
PPS mounts and other goodies out for delivery and should be here any minute!! Seriously considering taking the night off to get back in the lab to build this monster!
 
My Six Pack MT belted tires have come out of the beadlocks a few times already. I’m considering gluing them too.
 
I love everything about this post haha. Im still waiting on my pps mount to come in. Im going to go 30/50 and see how that works on 1100kv... and if the temps are not an issue what so ever.. Ill start going down in spur gear. I have not even ordered my pinion yet so im still a ways off. Im looking forward to seeing how your rig runs to give me an idea of what kind of gearing i can run. I realize the castle setup is far superior to my max6/1100kv, but im hoping i can use it as a baseline and gear down a little from what you have and get good results.
PPS goodies have arrived!! Got the 30t pinion going in, a the 40t spur w aluminum diff case, m2c diff cups shimmed to perfection, packed w 20mil goodness, and made w love!! Gonna start wrenching in the motor and driveline tonight!! Gotta figure out some sort of mount for the massive esc!!
damn PPS makes some good quality stuff!! Even their packaging is cool af!!
