are the hinge pin carriers / holders on the exb mojave stronger than the ones on the blx?

Only difference I'm aware of is at the front upper hinge pin mount, which is stronger and better designed (less likely for the pins to migrate out while driving) on the EXB. Lower hinge pin setup from the EXB is used on current version of the BLX.

An alternative to m2c that i've seen and bought a few of here recently have been the treal lower hinge pin blocks. roughly $50 gets you all 4 and you run an exb front upper rear block.

I only see listing for the Kraton 6s, are they same hinge pin blocks as the Mojave?
