Arrma RC's
  1. Infraction
  2. Kraton EXB
  3. Mojave EXB
Hey guys, I have wanted a Mojave EXB for a while, almost bought one a while back but wife got pregnant with our 4th and then found out she had a lung tumor (in the same week) so I never bought one. Mom and baby are doing great now so I went to buy one last night and low and behold they don’t make the EXB anymore.

Some Q’s for the knowledgeable folks on here:

1. Any news on if the EXB will return (either in roller or RTR form)?
2. What are the real functional differences between the EXB and normal RTR?
3. I was planning on running the 1717 castle combo (I run that on most of my RCs and like to be consistent) and my NB4 receiver. Is there anything I would need to upgrade on the RTR to handle that combo? I don’t do jumps/skate parks because I done have access to them, so mostly ripping around fields and such, so any diff upgrade suggestions are welcome…
4. The reason I want the Mojave is to FPV it… thinking of putting the DJI FPV HD camera in it (I use them for FPV quads) has anyone done this? Where should I mount the camera inside the cab looking out (from the drivers perspective) or on the hood or in the bed looking over the roof?

Any insights are appreciated.

I’ll keep a list of suggested upgrades here for ease of reference:

1. M2C Hex extenders
2. Scorched fenders (I have these on my infraction and they rock)
3. Remove pillow ball washers

Glad to hear your wife and baby are doing well!

No News on the EXB Mojave.. radio silence from corporate so far.

Perhaps you can consider a Fireteam, Same chassis, with Rollcage and more action figures to attach FPV cams to Hahaha ,and with Kraton suspension arms 💪

Bummer on the EXB.

The fireteam is interesting, just looking for something different. I have a Keaton Exb, mini-maxx and X-maxx, so the fireteam has less appeal to me as it is more similar to those.

They won't ship it.
I was in the same boat. Once I was ready to get an EXB, they were discontinued.
Still considering the RTR and modding, but you had more bang for the buck with the EXB kit.
I see that now it’s on eBay as well but everywhere I’ve looked it says discounted.

There’s also a slider on there too.

I hope they bring out a new Mojave with a solid rear axle. Something like the UDR but tough enough to bash.
It would kinda ruin it for me, but maybe make the RTR the current version and a solid axle EXB roller version alongside it.

Just ordered the rest of the build see below (with tax and shipping):

- Mojave EXB - $535
- M2C hexes - $51
- Scorched fenders and arm guards - $72
- receiver for NB4 - $34
- castle mmx8s 1717 1650kv combo - $391
- ds3235 servo - $32
- FS-CVT01 Voltage Sensor - $7

So total build $1122… not a cheap hobby

I already have a radio and batteries and FPV camera/goggles etc…

Will start a build thread when everything arrives.
