Monster Jam Houston 2023 Photo Dump!

Got the opportunity to attend Monster Jam yesterday and its the first time since I've been into RC which certainly has a relationship with Monster Trucks! Thought you all might like to check out some of the shots I got - we were pretty high up so I had to zoom, the quality isn't great, but it was a good time nonetheless. Last photo is the driver of Zombie driving a Losi LMT custom Zombie he made himself. He said that he was into RC before getting into real Monster Trucks! Reminded me of a certain British YouTube person lol. Anywho enjoy the photos!

Above - Our local Rock station 94.5 the Buzz had their Morning show truck - The Rod Ryan Show competing - was neat to see!

Finally the Zombie driver driving a Losi LMT customized to be his Monster Truck, Zombie!

I was born and raised in Houston 21 years before I hitched to Alaska and never went back. I remember my dad taking me to monster truck shows at the astrodome, long before it was retired. Good times

Monster Jam, Top Fuel drag race, and Formula 1 are all on the "you should see this" list.

Top fuel drag was really the one that has a crazy in-person experience that you cannot understand till you are there.

Monster Jams are so awesome!! Your adrenaline just pumps watching them! I've never been to a stadium one, but they come to one of our small local tracks here and I've seen them a few times with my son. So cool being 50' away while they are flying off jumps!! Loud as hell too!!

Yep we were right next door to the dome at NRG Stadium - they don't really use it for much of anything anymore. Constant bickering in the city over whether to level it or preserve it. I imagine I'll be dead and gone before it's decided lol.

Big football stadium they built directly next to the Astrodome - pretty sure NRG is like one of the power companies around here lol. It towers over the Astrodome heh.

Oh wow… the Astrodome still actually there? I thought they ripped that down awhile back…

Not yet! City can't agree on what to do with it.. heck even if they made it a parking garage that'd be cool. They did gut most of the inside though and had an auction some years back, a buddy of mine got a pair of seats and he has them proudly displayed with a lot of his Astros stuff.
