Wait how...i ran 8s 1250 on 29/46 on 6s mmx esc is was ripping all up n down the street motor stayed cool..I'd suggest max6 combo with 1650kv but you'll still have heat issues. I even tried recently running the Spektrum 8s 1250kv motor with 20t and it got as hot or hotter than the 2050kv when I ran 15t so was disappointed for sure. Also even with 20t it wouldn't hardly flip and didn't have near the speed as the 2050kv on 15t. I'd suggest getting a good 40mm fan like the game changer fans to keep it cool and run stock motor with 15t like I do.

That's strange, my Hobbywing 1650kv motor runs cool as a cucumber, even without fans the hottest temp I ever saw was 158* and that was in 80-90* temps with the fans I'm around 120-130 after a bash session.I'd suggest max6 combo with 1650kv but you'll still have heat issues. Try using a 25t-27t on the 1250kv motor, it might be over heating because of that smaller gear...I run a 27t and have had no problems.I'd suggest max6 combo with 1650kv but you'll still have heat issues. No they are about the same as stock. Are castle 6s systems good low maintenance (temperature wise) combos for this rig?
