If it is the Castle 1512-2650Kv motor, then yes. You need to change the entire driveline. Is that the motor you have?

Yes 1512 2650kv castle so what drive line should I used?

You will need everything from the BLX version of the truck:

Spur Gear - https://jennysrc.com/collections/ar...mbly-diff-57t-ar102668?variant=12603224916022

Two Differential - https://jennysrc.com/collections/ar...tial-front-rear-37t-granite-big-rock-ar102668

Input Gears - https://jennysrc.com/collections/ar...rings-granite-ar102668?variant=12603224162358

Motor Mount - https://jennysrc.com/collections/ar...nite-big-rock-ar102668?variant=12603217379382

Optional but recommended: https://jennysrc.com/collections/ar...big-rock-crew-ar102668?variant=12603220099126

Optional if running 14mm hexes: https://jennysrc.com/collections/ar...anite-bigrock-ar102668?variant=12603217051702

You might want to consider the Hot Racing adjustable motor mount plate as well. It will let you set mesh better and allow a wide variety of pinion sizes.

Are you going to run 3s or 4s? What ESC do you have?

Hobywing ezrun sc8 120a what battery you reccomend

I would like to use the best of it and also what pinion should I use

It all depends on if you run 3s or 4s. 3s would need a bigger pinion - like 24t or so. 4s would use a smaller pinion - like 18t. But no matter what you do, if you don't upgrade to the BLX parts you will strip the spur almost immediately. Who suggested the 1/8 scale Castle buggy motor? It's a lot to run on a stock rig.

I bought it from a friend that's moving out brand new for a very good price

Fair enough. I would suggest a 3s battery and a 24t pinion but you would need the HR motor plate. You could possible run the stock BLX plate and a 26t pinion which I believe it is pre-drilled for. Top speed would be around 60 mph. If you ran 4s and ran a 20t pinion you would be looking at 61 mph. I don't like the Mega/3S BLX Senton at 60 mph. It will kite on you and wreck. That is why I suggested 24t 3s and 18t 4s.
