Hi,

I've broken two motor guards this week. Riding on dirt and jumping a wooden ramp of 30 cm high.
Do I need to upgrade the shocks? I can image the motor guard hitting the ramp/ground when the rear shocks are not damping enough.
Or is there an other solution?

But that is not a real solution. Now you will have trouble to unmount the guard if it is necessary.
Normally the guard should prevent the chassis.
So maybe make an DIY aluminium guard (stiffer and stronger) and check the spring force of you're rear shocks.
Also check the angle of you're ramp..... Maybe the angle is too high.

T-Bone makes a rear skid plate. And this should fix the beating on the motor guard.
I'll order this one when I mount my new motor guard.

But still, the AR320181 motor guard comes with the Rear Chassis T-Brace. If you glue them together they become one big part. That I think still can be removed. (although I have to try it)

I was breaking them pretty often on my granite until I started running a rear bumper. Have not broken one since.
