Just installed max 6 and Hobbystar 1480kv. It’s awesome only problem I’m seeing is from dead stop to full throttle it hesitates big time any thoughts anyone

Following this thread, I just had same thing happen on my max6 with a Leopard 4092 1480kv 22t pinion, it didn't matter what punch level or tire it just wouldn't take off properly from a dead stop, other than that it ran like a champ. It lasted a little while and now suddenly the motor has gone full cog mode on me. I am testing the blx motor on it when I get home to confirm it's the motor and not the esc. ?

Interesting... I’m running a 20t pinion I’m going to check all my connections. I also have reset the Esc and re calibrating it did not help rebounding receiver also no dice. Keep me posted I’ll do the same ..

Its confirmed, the leopard is junk, blx motor ripping just fine, takes off like an animal with zero hesitation.

I feel like I definitely got a lemon here, it never took off right from day 1. I know they're not all like this, just a shame it had to happen to the very first leopard Ive ever bought. I'll be installing a TP 4070 1570kv here soon so motor problems should be a thing of the past.

Slightly off topic, but how did you guys mount the Hobbywing, just the double sided tape or something else?

Thank you and I hope you sort this issue out asap.

My hobbywing and hobbystar combo has been faultless so far, I'm running a max 6 and 4092 1480kv though.
Takes off instantly right? No cog or hesitation?

This solved my issue...

Oh no, this was a leopard 4092 1480kv on 6s w a max6. My unsensored TP 4070 1570kv has ZERO cog on 4s and 6s with the same esc and same SMC batts. Anyone here ever attempt a leopard warranty claim?

Did you get it through RCJuice? The owner started a thread on here the other day, you might be able to reach out to him, people seem to have had mixed responses from them.
