Kraton Motor mount and pinion recommendations

I have a Kraton 8s y but max 5 combo 1100 kv motor within 8mm shaft and I am running 39T spur. I need motor mount that fix the motor and a pinion recommendation

What's the reason you cant use this???

47T spur and 17T pin. is stock. (64 is the total combined tooth count for both)
You now have a 39T spur. 64 -39 =25 pinion.
Start with a 25T pinion.

Hopefully others will chime in and confirm this math or a similar ratio.
Fitting a pinion in this way should work.

Yeah, The OP is using a 56mm can motor. FWIW. Just not sure what his fitment issue is. Gear spacing, motor diameter issues, or both. ?‍ He wasnt clear on this.
Or just confused on what gear will run best?

One in the outcast 8s running a castle 2028 with 44t pinion/47t spur

the other is a kraton 8s running a tp power 5860 (1070kv) running a 35t pinion and 47t spur

I would recommend pps

@Ajag, is it me or the picture angle, your Pinion appears off-center with the Spur there?? The TP motor picture.
Probably me, you tend to be meticulous in your builds.

But the pinion is just thin

The spur is the stock arrma 47t

I’d probably go with the castle
I have a castle 2028 in about 6 or 8 trucks and about 20 tp power motors in various cars and trucks and I love the power of the tp motors but they run hot.

the castles make great power and run much cooler overall

for a speed run car it’s not bad..but for a basher the castles are my first choice

Thank you for that info! Never owned a tp power but probably will drop one in the limitless after I burn up the spectrum I chose for it.

The 2028 castle motor specs are nice. Plenty of power and runs cool. I’ll be trying the 1100kv once it goes back in stock.

for the Kraton 8s EXB what kind of bore fits?

8mm or 5mm?

I’m using the Max 5 ESC with the 1100kv motor..

Im thinking 27t or 29t pinion?
