Motor not working and strange sounds

My son has arrma granite 4x4 with upgraded brushless motor still on warranty. Replaced the rear composite drive shaft this weekend and after the first time running it, sounded ok but after 1-2 min stopped driving,motor stopped and strange high pitched sound and clucking. Steering works. Any advice?

is the motor new? what kind of motor? Did you just put it in?
Check the pinion gear. Sounds like it may have come loose.

Definitely sounds like the pinion came off the motor! I think most of us in the hobby have learned to hate that sound

Check the pinion gear. Sounds like it may have come loose.
