Got a surpass motor together with a firma 130, stock motor timing is set to 15 degrees on the esc.
But at what degrees should i set it for the surpass motor?
I can't seem to find anything about this.

General rule is 10-15deg for wye-wind and 0-5 for d-wind. When not specified it often is a d-wind motor. Pretty sure all surpass motors are indeed d-winds.

Higher timing will make the motor more 'aggressive' and hotter. It will not explode instantly so you can go through a trail and error proces increasing the timing till it gets too hot.

I generally start low with my timing. New motor and all. Work my way up. At some point performance doesn't increase. Just heat.
Use a temp gun and monitor heat as you go up in timing. I am very conservative with timing. It can potentially fry a motor and ESC. Been there. Same with mechanical advance timing as a rule.
My thoughts.

Thanks guys i will just set it to 0 then to be on the safe side

^^^Start there for sure.
Taller gearing changes , may require a drop in timing to compensate for heat.
