Kraton Motor wires exposed..still ok?

Hey guys hope you’re all doing good

I was putting a new motor mount on my motor

The manual says longest screw can be used is 3/16
When I was screwing in a before It got tight I heard a little pop
When I took screw out I noticed now wires are exposed

Did I screw in to far?
I know for sure it was no longer than 16mm

Is this ok to use with these wires exposed

where did it go when you heard the pop? the plug I mean
If I could send it back I would, otherwise throw a screw in there seal it and run it

Nothing was hooked up I was just screwing in the mount

You can see there’s a little cover or seal in the other holes
I believe it was the little seal that popped when I was screwing it in ..like I went to far

Not sure if that makes sense

Yeah it does, Its that hot glue stuff, there are some guys on here to take the spool out of the can and clean it and put some stuff on it, don't quote me on it lol. hopefully they pop in here and help ya out.
If it be me I send it back, but you wanna run it I bet lol

but that hot glue is hard, and maybe some crap is inside the can now. idk either but it's sealed for a reason.

I don't think its hot glue. If something is now inside the can it will fall out once the motor is taken apart
Remove the top half

I do it with bigger Motors at work when I have to change out the bearings on a 480v 3/4 HP but never a small one lol

If you don't want to send it back, look on youtube, screws hold it in and winding slides out

I’m definitely going to see what horizon says
realistically they should warranty it
The manual say you could go up to 16mm
And That’s what I used

I guess I just need to be patient and see what they say .. Before I tear it open

what Motor you got?
Hang on i take one out of the can, I got a 2050
Back
Front
you fine, just take the front of and kinda clean the debris out
Magnet is strong and make sure you remember where the washers, spring and sleve go

Looks pretty simple

I have the 1250kv

Back together, make sure the shaft is spinning not smooth but easy and no Grinding or any noise.

make sure the curved side of the spring/washer is facing down and the spacer with the bevel up to seat into the bearing
If you pull on the shaft make sure there is no play anywhere up and down

Just to make sure, you are not actually using a 16mm long screw are you? The manual says 3/16 inches which is about 5mm!?

Edit to clarify: The 5mm or 3/16 inches is the depth of the screw holes on the motor. So use a screw that does not stick out farther than 5mm from the back of your motor mount and you're good.
