Kraton My 4S Bashers and Setup

Just wanted to share my 4s (Kraton and Outcast) collection and bashing setup.

Bought the K4S and modified it to forum suggestions. I had so many extra parts in fear of breaking anything I decided to build an O4S as my “spare parts rig” which is also modified to forum suggestions.

I’m fortunate to live close to open trails and dirt jumps that I hike about half a mile to a decent bashing spot.

Took me about a month, 2 diffs and 2 input gears to finally dial in the slipper to my liking.

Damn are these 4s rigs fun!

Curious what you think of the O4S with the K4S tires? Slightly less of a wheelie machine but still backflipable?

Definitely backflipable but of course you lose grip. I actually find it more fun to drive on dirt on with the Minikawa tires IMO. It’s a little harder to control, drifts and donuts all the time but I think of the O4S as this uncontrollable wild stunt truck so it suites it’s nature. I ordered a set of backflip LPs for my O4S thinking both needed the backflip LPs but the Minokawas on the O4S has been a blast.

Which truck do you prefer, the Kraton or the Outcast? Do you find one more durable than the other?

When both have the backflip tires, I prefer the Kraton. I love how it handles and I can still pull stunts when I want. I thought I'd prefer the Outcast because of its stunting ability but see myself wanting to bash the Kraton more for it drive-ability. I don't see one more durable than the other....yet.

When I first bought the Kraton, I kinda regretted it at first thinking I should have gone with the Outcast thinking all I was gonna do was backflips the whole time but I was wrong.
