Nice radio. Got an NB4 also.? Feels so connected and on point. I disabled my gyro. If going some big sends etc, The FR wheels flail too much. Works against me. Also when you land hard on the front wheels, its best that there is no servo loading. And the Gyro just doesn't know better. Easy way to break your servo IMHO. Yet many guys use it. Hey give it a try.?‍♂️ We all drive different.
I have the same HS and motor fans. You should screen your motor and ESC fans. I also saw that you put a thick zip tie through your ESC fan cover. That may brick your fan sooner than later.
Nice rig you have. :)

Thanks for reply ?

The gyro I can turn on/off (0-100%) with ch3 on the transmitter. Not using it when I bash/jumping, only slippery speedruns..

Do I need to "screen" the fans when I going to use Dusty Motors cover?

Thanks ?

No need to use mesh or anything if you use the DM Cover. ?
The Gyro serves a purpose for sure. Just that if your sending it, it becomes more of a nuisance. I can appreciate what it does for flat running and all. Small jumps etc. But if you are hitting ramps and hills for some 15 footers, etc, it works against you. I tried it both ways. The Gyro was driving me crazy for a while, trying to dial it in just right, until I just disabled it. And I was good.

Edit: The Gyro Rx needs to to be firmly mounted with Servo tape FWIW.( double sided tape) I use automotive Exterior 3M Tape I get at Auto parts stores. If the Gyro wiggles slightly in the Rx Box it makes the Gyro over compensate , you end up with oscillating Fr wheels.

Thanks again,

Do you mean that Gyro still works even if it is turned to 0%?

The idea of the Gyro was "nice to have" when I need it.. (Gyro is attached with 3M double sided tape)

If you pick up your car and turn it left and right and the Fr wheels don't move left and right by the gyro when you are at 0% Gyro gain, then you are good. It is off for all practical purposes. The gyro can also be disabled manually altogether if need be. A gyro can be a blast to play around with just speed bashing it in the dirt and speed running on pavement for sure. ? Depends on how you like to bash.

I speed run my Limitless at high speeds, 80+MPH for instance, and I find that I don't like using a Gyro for steering. I get Steering oscillation from road vibration at those speeds. I can wreck so easily into curbs etc.
Yet running at much lower speeds it works fine. Just another different example why sometimes it works against you. Different scenarios.

Nice build, should be a beast out in the field. About the side guards and the Dusty Motor cover. I was able to use the existing guards by trimming away the excess velcro where they slope down. I also added a small M3 button head screw to hold the very end of the velcro strip to the guard. There's only a small strip of velcro there now, but it's enough to hold the cover on without issue. The taller guards from the Outcast/Notorious will require trimming at the rear to allow for the bigger can. Fans should be fine on their own as the cover keeps almost all debris out and hasn't affected the fan's performance.

Did the Yeah Racing fan setup bolt right on to your motor or did you have to do some modifications? I have the HW 4985SL motor as well and I'm looking for a setup that will fit. My ESC and motor have been getting pretty hot so I wanted a good way to get them cooled down.

Fits like a glove, all you need to do is remove some heatsink, look at the pic.
