Hi

Well this is my attempt at making a rear sway bar for my Raider XL. This is only part one and as I get more parts I will post more pics. I still need to get the flanged bearings for the mounts, a 2mm rod, and the swing arm mounting hard wear.

So here are the sway bar mounts I made.

I love these posts of yours, thanks for sharing all these ideas you come up with.

I imagine you could use a bushing there, or maybe even nothing at all. Would you agree? I've never messed with one of these on a model before but even full scale typically uses bushings in that application.

Nice work! I saw your post a little to late and I attached my sway bar on the diff that I got from an arrma kraton for my fury.now I start trying doing those brackets again great post!

Hi

I like how you mounted yours, I never thought of doing it that way.

Well I got it done and it looks good but I need to find a softer metal rod for making the sway bar out of. I was planning on using 2.5mm rod for the sway bar but I could not find any so I went up to 1/8" rod instead, I also had to use bigger bearing to accommodate the new rod.

A word of advice too any one that want do it the way I did, be sure to get the bearings and lock callers on the rod before you make the second bend. I had mine all bent up and ready to go on when I realized I forgot to put the bearings and lock callers on.:(

There is one other advantage to having a sway bar on the back, and that is it put even pressure on both sides of you swing arm. Before you could see flexing in the swing arm when it went up and down but not any more.

For my next mod I am going to put a skid plate over the rear shock tower brace to keep it from bending when I land up side down.

Nice! We're did you get the rods from home depot or hobbylobby? And did you get to mount the front swaybar? I mounted mines with a peace of thin sheet metal and cut a piece of fiber glass to secure it in between the front shock tower!

Typically how much would you charge to make this for some one. I really like your work. You can really tell you put your self into your projects..................

RESPECT ;)

I know you don't like to put holes on your lower arms put there's plenty of space for a extra screw I drilled the lower arm with a 1/16 bit, Malone who

Hi

Here is the link for the CVD conversion I did.

Most of the stuff I make is one off's, mainly because I have to make it all by hand. I have a power drill, and dermal, for doing most of my mill work. I wish I had the equipment for making these upgrades.

"Lor Fury 6s" I like how you have your sway bars set up. Also try the more options button when you post so that you can use the preview option so you don't cut your sentences up into motiple parts.;)

Those shocks I got them from a Duratrax Evader ext2! They fitted in perfectly no mod's. EBay got them for about $17 bucs a pair, If I'm not mistaken they come in three sizes.

Man I want to make one of these but not sure if I can! I notice alot of movement in the rear of my granite mega not so much on the blx but if I put it on one gotta make 2

What up! LunchBox Just order the set of swaybar for the kraton and there's two different ways of installing them it shouldn't be so hard! Plus you will gain more traction.

Kool! Do you have any play in the rear carier hubs or the arm's you can tighten them bye putting washers in between,it could be wear and tear, yeah I just changed my silver shocks for red ones they combine better with my them e yellow and red in the "truck" which I turned to strictly onroad,
