I picked this up as a roller from guy that works at a LHS, knowing it was a basher truck I expected to be doing quite a few maintenance and upgrades to get it at its strongest.
I had a Spektrum 160 combo with a 1250kv motor. In order to fit it in there I had to shave the lip on the esc tray
I want to thank all you guys as I had never heard of it...My next stop was Jenny's where I ordered all three complete diffs, a set of arms, and some other knickknacks.
I ordered a few more things like shims, fast eddy's bearings, exb shock mounts, and metal diff case. Of course I was gonna bash while waiting for my parts to come, well this happened.
With a glorious puff of smoke my center diff blew up. The inside of the case melted and all the gears twisted by about 45 degrees.
I decided to enlist the assistance of one of the best RC tech around to get this thing rolling right. While she may look a little young, her skills are a lot higher than her 3 years of worldly experience would suggest.
I replaced the center diff with the metal one.
I then decided diffs, diffs, diffs, and replaced all the diffs on this and my Typhon with metal cases.
After bending both shock towers I went with the exb ones and will see how they hold up.
I ordered the Arrma heatsink and a pair of fans for the motor. since finishing up I haven't been able to run it as I just got back in town last night. Hopefully I can get it out in the next couple day and see how these all work out, will update soon
