Welcome to the forum!

Is this from rocks getting between the heat sink and driveshaft? I had that issue big time.
Ditched the heatsink and went to a clamp on fan mount and never had the issue again.
You could do a metal shaft but that is a bandaid to the problem (if that's it anyway) and you can still cut up the aluminum ones.

First kink is aluminum driveshaft.
Second link is the fan mount I use. Motor will run much cooler without the heat sink blocking the airflow as well. Win/win

Welcome to the Arrma Forum! I've got two 3s Arrmas & not had a problem with the plastic driveshafts, unless the slipper clutch/diff was too tight. Is it possible to provide a picture? Is it near the slipper? I tried an aluminum one & went back to the stock plastic one in my Senton.

No problem!
I run mine on a rocked street often. Sure didn't take me long to figure out the issue!

This is a pic I took before I did the fan mount. If you look closely you can see some white dust marks on the heatsink from the rocks.
