I've never had tranny issues with any of my 2wd vehicles, hell my Stampede is like 10 years old and still on all of the factory tranny gears, I think those are the only parts that are still stock actually . I did replace the diff case with a Hot Racing unit and the gearbox case with an Rpm one like 2 years ago though.

We live on a dirt road, dead end, deep win the woods. I buy ammo in bulk. Everyone on this road owns a gun, minus 1 or 2 houses. We don't dial, 911. . Felt fairly safe even during our lockdown. Mass shooter on the loose. Lewiston Stong.

They got me into the hobby, and I still have a few. They’re not horrible, but I don’t know how anyone can run the Velineons on 3s without burning them down. They are not as rugged either, especially transmissions and gears. To be fair, they are still fun trucks and parts are cheap. But yeah, their website is the biggest joke in the RC hobby. Makes no sense either, with 50 gazillion rigs out there and counting.

Yeah, Mrs. Dude has given me grief for years about my hardware collection and steadfastly refuses to shoot. However, I was shocked a couple years ago when we were watching half the cities in the country burn down on the evening news and she asked how my ammo stores looked.
That said, I consider myself to be nothing more that a firearms hobbyist. I don’t hunt anymore, and have never lost sleep over an “us vs. them” situation or worried about anyone storming my property. I just like guns, and I love to shoot. But I’m pretty sure word is out in my neck of the woods that the Dudes property often resonates with the sounds of multiple calibers in a rapid fire manner, so I doubt if any locals would choose my house for anything nefarious.

30 years of 2wd Traxxas and I've stripped ONE idler gear on a nitro stampede. This was late 90's. You know when there were olite bushings in them that wore and caused slop..
I've abused the heck out of some 2wd Traxxas and they take it. Especially these new ball bearing and metal geared trans.

My problem with them does not have anything to do with the quality of thier rigs.
My problem is thier greedy "we need to be the ONLY rc company and we will sue till that happens" attitude.

I'd like to discuss Black Friday.....they should call it Black November, they have sucked the thrill of the hunt out of it. Why is a one day event a month long?

Dude says he hates Traxxas yet currently has a Nitro Rustler and also recently had a Revo 3.3. He won't trade or sell me the Rustler for some reason.

Dude says he hates Traxxas yet currently has a Nitro Rustler and also recently had a Revo 3.3. He won't trade or sell me the Rustler for some reason.

The brushed models come with the same gears as the brushless. If they can take brushless with almost no issues ever I don't believe for a second the 12t did damage all on its own.
Sounds like a fib or somebody assembling something incorrect. Some folks make up stories to try and justify thier false claims

And nobody having inventend water proof rc wheel bearings - puddle driving means lots of extra wrenching time.

But we do have waterproof wheel bearings. Full ceramic bearings are water proof and if that's outside of the budget we have stainless steel hybrid bearings too.

My wife doesn't like them. She thinks they incite violence .

You need to play smart. Take say, make up. Yeah great example. Now all of sudden you believe make up incites promiscuity. You don't like it!
