Arrma RC's
  1. Infraction
  2. Kraton 8S
  3. Kraton EXB
  4. Nero
  5. Outcast 8s
  6. Outcast EXB
  7. Senton 6s
This is really long and maybe one person will read it lol, but it was fun putting it all on “paper” it will serve as a check llist of sorts on my new found journey of RC customizing obsession. I almost like doing the work and finding the parts more than driving the thing, and I know that’s absurd, but I’m an asshole what can I say?

I’m new to the hobby so a lot of you will laugh at my naïveté. But these are my dream builds for the Kraton/Outcast 1/5 trucks and I’m well on the way to collecting the various parts! Then I will move onto DBXLE 2.0 and for something different either a 6S Infraction or maybe a Fireteam. Just not sure what’s going to be available for hopping up the fireteam.

Basically I would have two separate fully built front and back assemblies for easy switching; like 5 minutes tops. And another 10 minutes to switch motors and diff case and ESCs. Really not that big of a fuckaround.

Setup one (pure bashing send it build mostly stock) is 8s Max5 EZRun1100 kv 36t pin stock spur with all plastic rpm arms, generic aftermarket wheelie bar WITH HANDLE!! stock wing, stock outdrives, stock bulkheads, stock shock towers, stock EXB suspension, stock stock EXB tie rods back and front and stock wheelie bar. Stock centre gear box, 20 mil centre diff, 500k front and rear. Run on 2 Hoovo 10000mAh 120c 4s1p (yes they are heavy for bashing but I get sooooo much run time out of them) and dBoots Backflips or big soft Xmaxx retrofitted stock wheels for backflip ballooning that won’t explode and those pillow soft landings! Also paddle tires for snow (I’m Canadian)/sand (yes there’s sand here)

Setup 2 (street bash/bikini model/mild off-road & speed runs)

Max 4 with EZRun 70125 560KV with 42T pin

All aluminum for the following: Integy front and rear arms, Integy steering knuckles and hub carriers. GPM rear tie rods with secondary stabilizing rod, Scorched Parts (titanium not aluminum) front turnbuckle and M2C ends, 4 GPM piggyback L shocks (w functional reservoirs not fake like some), Integy wing mount, engraved wing + drag bar (random EBay finds), m2c overkill outdrives, Integy front and rear bulkheads. Scorched Parts titanium pillow balls w holders and motor mount screws. Chassis and arm skid plates (only while driving off-road). Earplugs in centre, 1 mil front and rear Run on 2 6S Spektrum 5000 mah 100c (need short batteries to fit rear tie rods on Outcast model) for wheels (this is where I’m clueless) Duratrax Bandito road wheels for on road, Proline Badlands for off road, and for winter Integy tracks and skis, Paddle tires and a snow plough.

Both builds:

M2C Chassis,M2C chassis brace bracket, Just Bash It chassis braces, M2C AB/CD hangers, GPM servo horn, Vitavon aluminum redesign steering system (my favourite upgrade on the truck) M2C motor mount with large pin slide, M2C brace bracket, M2C servo axle.

Can anyone advise on any of the specific choices? Anything the bashing setup (setup 1) needs? Because that will be the everyday build

NOT MY PHOTOS, NOT MY TRUCK… YET!

Lots of cool stuff! Remember, these are already big, heavy rigs and everything you add has the potential to up that. You're already hitting the ground at nearly 30lbs stock.

In particular, I'm not a big fan of metal a-arms. I would rather have an a-arm break that transfer that much force to the chassis. But it really depends, if it's a dream build sometimes you just do things for the sake of doing things, practicality be damned. For a hard runner, it may make sense to get a handle on what you break the most before going too nuts, but again just depends on what your end game is.

Thanks for reading! The aluminum build will NEVER see air. Just for open fields and roads/parking lots, I also may opt to just buy a Kraton and make that the heavy metal show car. Just not a fan of the Kraton body.
After re-reading everything and considering it was basically two full trucks. Build 2 It’s also probably better suited for the Kraton and will never EVER see air! Ground vehicle only. I’ve already completely revised this list and posted it to Reddit, someone is sure to bust my balls there 🤣. I find folks a lot nicer on here.
