My first habao build

I’m not sure I’f this is allowed because It’s a habao so please lmk …anyway my first habao build it’s a vte2 and I’m going big with this 1 …castle xlx2 of course and castle 2028 1700kv ,power hobby ph760mg ,spektrum receiver and see how she does .I want to keep it all habao for now so I got the OP drive shafts and 1/5 scale motor mount and like I said if this is allowed I’ll keep this updated as it’s my first build thread also

Yeah I had considered sending him a mustang body but I want to learn to do my own he’s very good at it great quality jobs

Now thinking drag car with 8 or 1100 kv hobby wing and a max 5 ! Gonna be a drag car so the lower kv is tempting but that but that 1700 kv castle is just bananas

Suspension seems solid and strong ,Shorter drive shaft I grabbed /longer in the front now and motor mount And orientation I had to use to get the longer/bigger can to fit ..

Hobao motor mounts are notoriously bad. I’d strongly consider getting a new one…..

poop ok I just ordered the habao 1/5 scale mount wanted to keep it habao since I’ve gone all diff brand mods especially motor mounts scorched and pps on all my other builds kinda wanted to keep this all habao but I’ll have to order something stronger to avoid any problems Ty for the heads up !

They are great chassis to build on. I built quite of few this past year. Last season I ran two of them, got to 180mph with the one using a tp4080, the other one I ran the 1721 on 6s and did 159mph, also ran a custom tp4070 to 128mph on 3s and 147mph on 4s.

I have since built two more vte2 as duals and a vte 1/8.

Wow! Nice brother ! Insane mph #s for the cells …honestly sick times anyway ! 180mph that’s awesome can’t wait to get there ! And I’m really into this car ! Can’t wait to see what it does for #s I can’t wait untill it’s done period lol ..almost there just waiting on couple odds and ends so I can button this beast up it and she’ll be ready ..I’ll post pics of the progress
So decided on these components and layout of the build the castke 2028 2700kv ,xlx2 power hobby Servo and there’s the layout ,just waiting on few more things then I can button her up! And rip it ! Can’t wait ! Lmk if you have any suggestions as I said first habao build …

Going thru her ,diffs ,suspension,wheel alignment etc. and I’ll say it again this is a nice platform I am impressed with the quality so far ……we’ll see what happens lol but the 1/5 habao motor mount is in /motor mounted …almost there ! Can’t wait to rip this rig!!
