Saw this setup on YouTube and went to Home Depot to built it. I bought 2 pieces of 2x4 outdoor plywood, 3 hinges, two eye hooks, two quick links and a length of chain. I can adjust th height of the ramp bit shortening or lengthening the chain. Ghetto fabulous!

I did the same thing many years ago, used cheap hinges and rope instead of chain, but I did mine longways and I did 2 of them so I had a 4 foot wide ramp. Was too abrupt and upset the trucks more than anything. If I was smarter, I would have figured out the proper length for the bottom to keep a proper gap, then figured out a way to put a short rope half way up to create a curve, then it would have been better and still foldable/portable. Pretty sure I still have a set of the ramps in my wifes trunk as the 2' x 4' was just big enough to span the gap of a 1998-2009 grand marquis sub-trunk.
