Typhon My typhon 3s build, project pootie tang.

I got this typhon on the black friday sale wasn't sure what I was gonna do with it but it's turned into a street racer speed run/drag run car. Right off the bat I dropped a 4s esc into it with a 26t pinion and hot racing 57t spur with some power hobby gripper tires and got 70mph. Speed bug has really gotten me at this point so I decided let's get a 6s esc and run a spool with a 34t spur and 29t pinion. Weather has been crap where I live so I haven't been able to get out and test but it's ready. Never fully built I plan to get a better radio with gyro. Only been into the hobby a year now and I'm loving it. Getting a limitless or hobao vte2 soon.

Got out today and tried making a run and the slipper was ah slipping. Got it home and it was just the screw came loose. Added a 4th slipper pad and put locktite and gonna run it back tomorrow. Gonna turn the punch down lol its was pulling the wheels spinning through the slipper lol.

Got the typhon out did some runs. 72mph is all ima get out of these hovoo 4s lipos. But man is it quick!

Okay guys the weather was nice and I've met a few other people into the hobby that like to do drag racing. Figured I'd share a few videos of the races. This one is my typhon vs a nitro drag rc car with 2 speeds lol on foam tires. And a infraction 3s.

Ok guys update on my typhon. Aka pootie tang. After racing the nitro car its time I step it up some. Gonna sell the 6s esc and grab the mamba 8s and run it on 6s. Hot racing spool and gear up. Better transmitter hoping to get rid of that delay for drag racing. I gotta beat that nitro car this weekend!!

Daaaaaaaaaamn, you is not playing haha. Good stuff man. Those are big bats for the 3S line, you will need some extra long straps to hold them down. You about to go over 100 ha?

Got some thing done today. The motor is mounted and gear mesh set. Thing is huge compared to the 3660 now to figure out how I want to mount the esc. On top of the reciever box or cut the reciever box and get more room. Also anybody here with castle esc experience? Is the b link worth it? I'll be running the mamba monster 2. Motor is 1515y 2200kv.

Update on pootie tang. It's running a 4065 rocket motor now with the mamba monster 2. Has all metal diffs now with the hot racing yokes. All pivot balls are now hot racing. Future plans ate ceramic wheel and diff bearings, futaba 7pxr and a mamba x esc.
