I got this typhon on the black friday sale wasn't sure what I was gonna do with it but it's turned into a street racer speed run/drag run car. Right off the bat I dropped a 4s esc into it with a 26t pinion and hot racing 57t spur with some power hobby gripper tires and got 70mph. Speed bug has really gotten me at this point so I decided let's get a 6s esc and run a spool with a 34t spur and 29t pinion. Weather has been crap where I live so I haven't been able to get out and test but it's ready. Never fully built I plan to get a better radio with gyro. Only been into the hobby a year now and I'm loving it. Getting a limitless or hobao vte2 soon.

That is a nice Typhon! I have a Typhon Mega I am upgrading to 4s. Only 3s so far. Is that motor 4s or higher or is it the stock 3s? It looks like the stock one to me and that one would blow up on 4s or higher.

It's the stock 3200kv and so far it loves 4s and the gearing. Gotten it up to 168 degrees from back to back to back rips and it hasn't died yet

Yeah that's the motor I plan to use after the stock one gives out. It's a surpass Hobbystar platinum 3800kv 3660. Really nice little motor

That sounds like a good plan. I never ruin any electronics except by accident but if you have the money and the parts i guess it doesn't matter. The not stock motor looks like it will run nicely.
