I have a stock Granite 4x4 Mega 550. I'm looking at picking up the ezrun max10 sct-a. That has a 3660 motor running at 3200kv. It comes with a 21T 5MM 48P pinion. I'm guessing it's gonna be recommended to get a new spur, most likely the blx spur? To keep my motor cool running on 2s lipos, what should my gearing be at? I'm more worried about accel instead of top end. However, it'd be nice to be able to hit 40+ mph. Though that less important.

Stock blx gearing was a sweet spot for me. I used a 57 tooth 32p spur and a 15 tooth pinion. That gearing gave me between 45 and 50 mph on 3s. 2s was around 30mph I used the kraton 4s spur because it was metal vs the plastic spur from the 3s. But the plastic one will hold up well had one on my blx senton for 2 years now and run a 4s castle system with no problems. But, if you go higher on the pinion, only go up 1 tooth at a time to watch for heat and performance issues.

Max10 system is a great system if you got the $$$ for 2s running I'd go smaller an cheaper.max10 has 6.5mm bullets making motor swapping hard to do.most 4s an smaller have 4mm.my buddy has a cheap goolrc 2-3s system 4300kv in 1/10 sct an it hauls on 2s.60$ system.160$max10 might destroy mega drivetrain
