Need help going to 4s

I want to put a hobbywing Max8 esc in my Granite 3s BLX, but plan to only run it on 4s. What G3 motor with what kv should I use.. Or would there be a better option altogether?

You can easily put in the electronics to run 4s, just keep in mind the car is made for 3S or less. You will tear up the drivetrain and additional weight will cause stress to other parts while bashing.

Yes, it’s hard to resist the whole More Power! instinct, at least for me. But you break stuff a lot in a plastic chassis truck.

Agree, truck can barely handle itself on stock 3s power plant.

As I found pretty quick, 4s means more power, more speed to hit stuff with
And the heavier lipo can tear battery straps and make a nice new sun roof pretty quick too.... But.... More power

Perfect kv is close to 3000 as you can find for 4s imho

Fun fact, ground clearance on a Typhon 6S and Arrma Granite 3S is 1.85inches.

Typhon regularly goes on sale for 399$ (seen multiple times last year). Seems like a no brianer for people wanting "more power". Just my 2 cents

That would be a nice addition but best price I've seen in UK over the last 12 months is £540 iirc.
