Hey y'all looking for some thoughts on what motor to replace the BLX185 in my Outcast with. Was looking for something in the 1600 to 2000kv range.
This is one of the cheapest options https://www.rcjuice.com/motor-esc/b...ensorless-motor-1-8-truggy-monster-truck.html
This one has a longer can https://www.rcjuice.com/motor-esc/b...ensorless-motor-1-8-truggy-monster-truck.html
Larger can same length https://www.rcjuice.com/motor-esc/b...-sensored-motor-1-8-truggy-monster-truck.html
And then there is this guy https://www.rcjuice.com/motor-esc/b...ensorless-motor-1-8-truggy-monster-truck.html
Not really looking for more speed I want more torque to toss this thing around in the air better. Also open to suggestions. Thanks in advance.

how is that motor compared to the stock blx, whats better about it? does it have lower top speed since lower kv or you gear it up? does it overheat? my stock blx motor overheats like crazy. I would like to find one that doesn't get so hot but i can still go fast.

i have a kraton, stock tires (badlands just arrived today) 14T Pinion Tekno, stock spur 50T, I even have yeah racing heat sink, i will hit 200F on 6s

I’m using a hobbystar 2000kv seems to work for me it’s a larger can than stock I’m using a 16t pionion and no fans and the hottest it gets is 160. I can gear up and put fans on the motor if I wanted more speed. But it’s to fast the way it is

1600 kv, 4082 Hobbystar has been great for me.

My 2 main rigs I run have Leopards in them. Kraton has the 4092 1480kv and my Tycast has the 4274 1800kv. Both are amazing. My cuz runs a few hobbystars and they are great too.

Welp, not sure wtf is going on but I cannot order anything from RCJuice, I just keep getting sent back to the login screen every time I try to check out................

I believe you can order their stuff from eBay as well
Yeah it but also costs $10 more.

And that is going to have to be put on hold for a while. Tranny went out in the Hoe today, just after replacing the brakes........ :(

Lol! I guess I just never thought that $10 was much of an issue. Though I didn't realize they had the upcharge on Ebay
I'm very frugal when it comes to stuff. I will seriously spend as much time as I possibly can trying to find the best deal on something. Even if I only save 5 cents.

I have noticed this mark up with various sellers on Ebay. Just a bit a info, Ebay takes 10% for fees when you sell something. So if selling 100$ motor they only get 90 less shipping fees

Vote for hobbystar 4092 1480kv lot of torque. Runs cool, 125 degrees on average with a 21t pinion.
