Kraton Need Help to decide about Arrma 6s Models

Hey guys. I need help. I want to buy a new Arrma. But I can't decide about the Kraton v5 , Kraton EXB V2 or Notorius/ Outcast. Is it OK to buy a Kraton v5 or will be there a new version soon? Are the EXB way better for normal use. I want to jump at ramps sometimes. Are these models good on 4s to drive ? Thanks for reading.
 
Welcome to AF. I have the Noto, and it is way fun, and tuff as nails. It likes to do wheelies. I prefer to run it on 4s, and it insane on 6s. I Don't own a Kraton, but heard good things about it. 🏁 .

The noto will do backflips in the air. On the ground I tried but I could not. Bet it will on 6s, might try it though. 🤷‍♂️ . I get into the wheelies, much more of a fun factor for me. It will wheelie for 50 ft with ease. :LOL: . Arrma calls it a stunt truck. 💥.

I'm glad you're thinking 6s. The 6s Arrma line is the best in the industry. (y) .

I bought a couple of 4s batteries but I have never driven any of my 6s cars on 4s. I used the 4s batteries a few times when I tried (and failed) to run 4s combos in my Traxxas Drag Slashes, but all I use the 4s batteries for now with my 6s cars is for bench work like centering the servo, EPA, etc, that I am doing today with my Fireteam's new servo and wider hexes/hubs.
 
If you get a 6s rig from Arrma, you will not be disappointed. Just saying. The 6s is way better. But you have to choose. That's half the fun.

Yes a Kraton can be run on 4s. Just put a bigger pinion in it as the stock pinion on 4s will be slow.
As wheelies and jumps are not your primary goal the the Kraton.

I do wheelies and jumps with my Kraton all the time.

Having owned both a Kraton, a Kraton EXB and an Outcast I say the Kraton 6s EXB imho out of the 3 as it just drives and handles so much better.
 
I faced a similar decision at the beginning of this year. The K6 EXB, K6 V5, and Noto are all awesome. I chose the V5 because I wanted to do the upgrades and learn the platform. It was also a lot cheaper at the start going that way. In the long run, maybe not so much, because I may have gone a little overboard. But the experience I gained from doing that work myself is invaluable. The Kraton is a beast on the ramp too. 👇

 
I've owned my 8s kraton for just over a month. My boys and I ran out trucks this weekend. My oldest sons 3s used to be "fast" to us.....add in 4x bigger and 2 times faster, and I've decided for his bday in a few months he'll either have a 6s kraton or an outcast. The 8s kraton wheelies till I want to to stop and it's stable enough for my 8 year old to run wide open .....I'm going to be in the same boat very soon on which model I want for my 12 year old. These things are definitely impressive and it's easy to have a good time no matter where you're running them ..... Now that hard part is going to be finding my 8yo a truck ....do I go 4s so we can share batteries and it gives me an excuse to buy more, or do I go 6s for both of them so I'm stocked up when I go 12s.... Decisions decisions decisions!
Either way, they're all fun, fast, and fun 😏

I think @blaster27 has a sweet looking orange and black one .I personally am only just a Arrma guy ever since I bought my first Arrma 2 years ago and I'm hooked but the sledge is one hell of awesome looking truck.i have no idea how the quality is but I haven't heard anything bad about them yet.

Yes this is a Arrma club but it's definitely ok to talk about any RC brand or ask questions.we are not like the Traxxas forum where they kick you if you even mention another brand.its all about the hobby here.all questions are welcomed here
