I can only speak from personal experience and found the Louise/Duratrax MFT line is very durable. Running them on the Kraton EXB and XMaxx.
For the Talion i would pic the 3.8 ST line. The MT line is ridiculous large.

Badlands 3.8 belted are heavy but they are super tough. Basically don't balloon and they look pretty awesome and have fantastic grip

First time out, exact same wheel/tire I’m kind of a no f**ks given driver- maybe that needs to be the change. Maybe heavier shock oil, smaller pinion

Sadly I feel like you might be right.

Backflip Lp's probably best go-to's for me. Good all around tires. Good bite and are Low profile.
However what works for me may not work for you and others.
They are pretty much all a mixed bag. Trial and error.
Why I have so many sets of tires here.
RC tires/wheels are pretty much staple items when it comes to this hobby. At least there is a great selection out there.
But as a result there is also much garbage out there also.
Knowing what garbage to stay away from is probably the most important thing.

That's so very true and applies to many more things in life
