Hello, I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on the Futaba 4XP Radio. The radio is supplied with a R304SB receiver that has the wire antenna built in. Would it be better to get a Futaba R204GF-E receiver that does not have the external antenna to go in my receiver box? I need the truck to be waterproof.

The receiver box has an opening for all of the wires that the receiver and diff brain need in order to talk to the ESC and numerous servos involved in making the diff brain system work. That opening is sealed with a foam gasket that has enough room that you could sneak an antenna out alongside the other wires.

But in my opinion, antenna wires are an eyesore and nothing but trouble and should be avoided whenever possible.
