They are sweet, nice to see some great examples of these.. I missed the boat on them. Was apparently into something else when these were current. Glad and sad at the same time as I would have more discontinued rc's in my collection.
I can def see why traxxas was offended..and more importantly threatened since Arrrma is more eager to make improvements to their products.. the fat cats at Traxxas wanna kick back and suck on their Cuban's.

For the record, I sponsored the fat cats this year with my purchase of an Xmaxx for Xmas and a used hoss😃 I like what I like 👍
Maybe the sign of total RC addiction!? 🤣🤔
Yeah, I love my Nero Big Rocks, but lately been seriously considering the new Maxx since the updates.

The Nero was discontinued because Arrma copied too many patented designs from the Revo. http://upshotservices.s3.amazonaws....d7f7/56d5601a-6358-4a64-86e0-9fa103b57b2a.pdf

The way the shocks were oriented in the chassis was an infringement on this patent. Again I think it was stupid that a patent was even aloud to be applied to something like this https://patentimages.storage.googleapis.com/37/d3/ea/2185b7ac416597/USD567886.pdf

The steering setup while not being a direct 1:1 copy was close enough to infringe on this patent https://patents.google.com/patent/US7793951B2/en

Holy chit! I just pulled mine apart today and that steering setup is ...well almost the same.!

Trying to keep the Nero threads alive. Anyone else run theirs lately?

I will once I get a new set of 3s lipos! Plus I also waiting for better weather here. I loved the look of your 3.8 mashers so I found a pair as well.

I missed the boat with the Nero. I would have probably liked it much also. Very unique that it was.
Just that I can't see myself owning another discontinued rig. Only to remain a shelf queen or in its box just becasue......
And, I don't feel RC vintage rigs are any great investment these days.

Thanks. I have a post in classifieds to buy or swap for a NIB Fazon body that I have but no takers, I'll try Big Boys Toys.

From what I understand bodies, tires, the radio and diff brain are the parts that are hard to find.
I have the radio, brain, motor, factory servo saver, and factory radio box, all of which are discontinued. Big Boys replied , no body in stock. Hopefully one will surface.
