My nero suspension adventure!! And build thread I will post pics as I go along upgradeing and experimenting...Ok so ive had some bad luck with the nero shock rod ends and pushrod ends. Im currently exploring a couple options I will leave my findings in this thread. About my nero.... running stock gearing, added diffbrain upgrade and installed, moved motor wires the side by shocks instead of up middle, tbone wheelie bar v1, moved shocks to third hole in front and rear, raised body posts a few notches, added a savox servo with 444oz-in @ 6V, changed esc bec from 7.2v to 60v, 100k rear diff oil, 50k center and 50kwith a bit of 100k in the front diff. I know there have been some guys messing with shock position, oil weights, ect. I have been as well... currently using 70wt front, 60wt rear, preload has been adjusted on front to almost 75% and rear is at 100%. As mentioned above shocks moved in to third hole from outside. I have not had it out yet to try it out since adjusting preload... results will be posted here along with all other things I have done. I do not claim to be first one to do these thongs I have followed many posts and have used many ideas from others thankyou fot reading and following this.

Also as a side note... the body i never run until.i have fiber taped and shoe gooed it at least a bit. With that being said this is the photos of round 2 body repair i did tape and goo it once before... the rear takes a beating unless you have a wheelie bar and that will help alot but landing on the lid will bust your top up quick... areas needing most attention are around the holes for mounting it... i had to rebuild one in the back almost completley i should have done this earlie realy no excuse seeing as my nero has been sitting waiting on rod ends there a bit ago i should have done it then...

Like your ideas. Waiting for my Nero(my first RC) and will reinforce as you suggest.

Well another small modification to my neros tbone wheeliebar. The new v2 wheelie bars are adjustable so i figured mine should be too... i removed the screws that hold it in on the bumper, clipped out the little tab on the bumper then pulled it in forward a bit drilled new holes and yrimmed off the old mounting holes... its a bit higher headed out to test it very soon...

Yep then had to climb that female dog to flip it back over... i just took it out in the road in front of my house... had a 47mph pass then a 54.9 mph pass and batteries died... hadent charged since running it this afternoon... im using stock pinion nit speed pinion. gonna do speed runs with nero tomorrow with 5400mah 3s 50c duratrax onyx then with the 7200mah spc 3s 70c and see if there is a diffrence... there is definatley a diffrence in punch and acceleration i can feel it... its dark now or i would go try onyx batteries out... my phone gos is 3 mph slow so i add 3mph to all reading... i need a little garmin or better gps app.

Broke a rocker arm post today it was a female dog to get out beacuse it was bent a little bit. So my nero is on the bench once again... all parts ordered also ordered the aluminum servo arm and more shock rod ends just used my last one... it was a pretty good crash that caused the post to break unbelievably the pushrod ends and shock rod ends are fine. More pics coming when i get servo arm on... stay tuned for more fun and carnage....

I've been down a few times waiting for parts so now I'm stocking up before things break. Rocker posts on now on my list of back-up parts.
So, when these rocker posts go does anything else get wrecked? The rocker triangles or bearings for instance? What else should be purchased related to such a breakage? (I've already got a satchel of rod ends and shock ends/caps).

Thanks

Yes you should get the bearings and screws. I could not find the broken piece of the rocker with one of the bearings. I ordered dcrews that hold the rocker to the post as well.

So the Terre wheels and tirres was a fail but theybhave been taken off and remounted im gonna glue them and have another go witht them. Had to much adulting to do this week....

Man o man what a day. Started Out the day trying out my Terremotos and within 5 minutes ..... POW. both front tires exploded. Got a set of ProLine Shockwaves. They are smaller and proline says they are for handling & speedruns. They say that ballooning is reduced due to the size and padding that is condensed. We shall see. Redcat is sending me another two front tires. I glued the new prolines and I ended up putting my rear stock DBoots up front and ended up clipping a tree. Broke a ball joint - no biggie. But I also got a fiddlesticking speeding ticket going to the hobby store. 125 bucks. But the cop told me to plead not guilty and take the def driving course. Sheesh going to bed...

Added some low voltage alarms to the nero... the guy i spoke with at soc said lvc on stock trucks is to low so this is his suggestion. They were 10 bux each very easy to use and set to desired voltage. 3.5 is reccomended setting by spc so i set mine to 3.6 bettere safe than sorry. I superglued velcro to the truck and to the alarm to keep them from flopping around.
