Agreed, you'd have to buy hundreds of RC's from various manufacturers, multiples of the same model, in order to be qualified to be "unbiased". Even then, it would come down to what you value which could change from person to person. I try to diversify and be open to new things so I don't put my "Arrma blinders" or "Traxxas blinders" on. We all know a few of those people.... ;)
There are a lot of those people on this forum. There are people who think that Arrma has the best aftermarket parts selection and that Arrma has the only platform that you can make multiple models from

There's a new color in case you don't like the old one. Teal!

Yes. But I’m different than most people. It’s basically a really good Kaiju, done properly.
I like the way that you bash. More realistic than the big YT people IMHO. KT is also OK. He's just crazy with his insane abuse at the skatepark. I actually found a small skatepark today and I was trying my best at not landing on concrete, but it's inevitable. I only broke a lower control arm on my K6S XL. Last time I did some pretty big jumps with the Kaiju on 4s and concrete landings at a bike park. It actually survived. On 6s, it would have probably broken something since it's a double and triple backflip machine. On 4s it only does one backflip, which is good enough for most people. I know you like the MT8, not because of durability, but because of how it handles. That's fair enough. Heck I'm trying not to jump too high all the time anymore. It gets very expensive with the breakages when you mess up 😅

IMHO skateparks are the worst places to bash.

If you're first learning how to drive, agreed. But when you start to get better at air control and get a feel for the truck, it's insanely satisfying to do crazy transitions from one bowl to another, and the jumps are almost perfectly built for RCs it seems like. I'm not duperbash level. His skatepark stuff is otherworldly driving. But I can still have plenty of fun just being a little more cautious.

I'm sad and glad that I don't have access to a skatepark honestly. It do look soo fun!! Bet it can get expensive though? I'd be stuck on the expensive side no doubt,LOL.

Honestly just depends on how you drive. Went through two 6s packs in the kaiju at the skatepark on Monday, only had the shock cap pop off the pivot ball at the end. The bumper is basically holding on by one mounting screw, but it was already pretty torn up before the bash. Other than that, nothing broke. Did a free repair and ready for another skate park bash tomorrow morning ;)

Sweet, sounds fun!! Yeah, I forgot about the cheesy bumper design. Not really the bumper that's cheesy, but rather the mount and supports.. my factory bumper lasted nearly a year, the replacement I bought complete from JRC lasted 2 weeks..now she rolls without a bumper.. not too crazy for the idea TBH.
I'm gonna buy some plastic sheet of some type soon..got alot of ideas for bumper supports, skid plates, skis..all kinda ideas just floating around in the idea warehouse(my brain)..🤔😮😁🤣🤣🍻
Enjoy the skatepark today!!😎👍

The MT8 fixed the Kaiju bumper, but it doesn’t bolt straight onto a Kaiju, I think they changed the way it mounts.

I'm figuring on making something like the Tbone setup, their designs are very simple yet effective. I'd like to retain the actual stock bumper itself if possible. Just need a skid and reinforcement to gearbox or tower behind the bumper..hmm maybe I should use a plastic cutting board? Seen it here on AF before!!😉🤣🤣

I'd settle for a bumper mount like the KEXB. The lower two kaiju mounts would be fine if the upper two would actually hold their place a little better. Honestly if the attachment points themselves weren't so noodly, the whole bumper would last alot longer.

If someone like @3d-rc.myshopify.com made a beefed up kaiju top bumper support similar to the KEXB one, I'd totally buy it!

That might work pretty well. Just use kydex or something and make a basic bumper/skidplate. (y)

I don't mind the skateparks, but it's just so bad for your RC to land on concrete. I didn't have any bad landings with my K6S XL, and I still managed to explode the front bulkhead while concrete landing. That rarely happens when I land on the grass/dirt properly

For the record, my kraton never touches the skate park. Only my basically all plastic big rock and mostly plastic kaiju do ;) they handle the abuse much better.

And much cheaper fixing overall!

Yeah that makes sense. I usually don't take my metal chassis vehicles to the skatepark, but I made an exception and paid the price 😅
