Hi everyone,

Recently I have discovered 1:8 off-road racing at my local club

https://www.hnmc.co.uk/.

Does anybody know of a good RC buggy 4WD 1:8 around the £600-700 range? It has to be compatible with 3s as given in the race rules

https://brca.org/

So far I have shortlisted the ARRMA TLR RTR Tuned. What do you think? If anybody else has another contender then it will be much appreciated.

Thanks
Here is my cart hopefully giving you an idea on my budget :)

What 1/8 models/ brands is your local track running first and foremost? You should ask first.
You are in the UK, Best kit brand or RTR would be one that has a great parts train in your region. Arrma is one brand. Cheapest way to start at least.
TLRT is kind of on the heavyside for a 3s Lipo. Most any 1/8 buggy would be. In competition use.
But 3S will surely run with the TLRT stock electrics. No issue. On 4s is where it shines. Especially with a Sensored HW setup.
I just don't understand the 3S limit with the 1/8 scale class buggies at your track.
4s is the norm for a 1/8 buggy class.
Is it a very small track?
