Kraton New Kraton

Whats up all? I finally got my Kraton roller finally arrived, along with a host of parts. I have all my stuff to shim the diffs. Got a new JConcepts Finnisher Wing. Radiolink RC4G transmitter. Proline desert militia body. Host of fluids and Tekno orange springs. I can't wait to have it all installed and running!! I'll update once I run it, hopefully tomorrow. Just thought I'd share as I am sooo excited!!

Well haven't gotten it out yet. When I sold my Nero, all my spare screws went with it. Oops.. Lol
So I need some screws to mount the motor. I'm gonna try my castle monster X esc and 2200kv motor first to see if that combo works and if so how I like the power. If I like it I may sell that setup and run a Tenshock 6 pole motor.

I have a hobbystar 150A esc and a 1550 KV Tenshock motor to try next, which I used briefly in the Nero, all of 5 min. Also going to run a desert militia body.

So couldn't wait to run it.. Finally got a full run out of the batteries. First time ever, as I never got a full run with the Nero. Running the Mamba Monster X with Castle 2200KV motor currently. When this setup was in the Nero the esc would go into thermal shutdown every run. It didn't! Which I think has something to do with the weight of the Nero vs Kraton. So far so good as of now, no breakages! Which I absolutely love! Should have gotten the Kraton first.

The Castle 2200Kv on 6S in a Kraton will just start to push the limits of thermal shut down dependiing on the weight and tires. On 5S I'm sure it would do way better. This fan setup works real nice on the motor if needed. Even with drilled holes in the top of the heat sink the fan pushes air down and around the cooling fins of the motor.

Huh. Thats a good idea. I really just wanted to test that setup and see if it was working properly. Since I never got a full from it in my Nero. I have another setup I want to try also, so I'll be testing that setup soon. I'm just glad I was able to get a full run in honestly. Lol.

Finally got some run time in with the Kraton. Nothing too crazy but it was super fun, and had only minor breakages, so I'm happy. Lol. I still need to paint the body, but it has been cold, and I didn't want to wait to drive it.. Haha
