Well after quite awhile I finally got the WLToys 144001 I ordered. This thing is awesome. I haven't had so much fun with anything RC related for this cheap in a long time. And it seems so well made for what it costs. Aluminum, bearings, etc. Now will it last, time will tell. I have no plans of risking 3s. Its fast enough as is. I will be getting some higher quality 2s Lipos with a higher C rating and MAH, but 2s is fine for me. I also love its simplicity. It seems like its going to be super easy to work on. Its bone stock as of now other than some XT60s I soldered on the ESC and batteries. I know its a Chinese knockoff of a more expensive car, but I didnt want to spend that much on something Im literally just smashing around my street.

Anyway heres a few pics. Any questions Ill try to answer them. By the way I have one of my own that I couldnt find an answer for. On the TX there is a mode button with 1,2,3, and 4. Any idea what this does? My guess is its channels in case you are running more than one, but I may be wrong.

looks like the LC racing parts might fit that thing.
I have an LC racing SCT, and yes, the amount of fun in those small packages is amazing.
Careful with your spindles. They used to be a weak point.
Have fun with that bad boy
Some do some don't. I have a tendency to break the rear hubs on both my LC Racing truggy and MT.

Looks like the T-Bone bumpers should fit just fine.

here is a little tidbit for ya.
I was the one that talked Tbone racing into making bumpers for the LC/Tacon vehicles. :) :)
Man that seems like forever ago.
Im still kicking myself for not being the first distributor of LC in America. I had it lined up as sole distribution rights, just had to pull the trigger but the wife said no, its too risky. lol

Ive heard of these little rigs but don't know much about them. Looks nice for the money though. Surchaufeur getting one for his birthday, so I guess I'll hear what you guys think about it.

Same here. I want to know how it holds up. I've got an A959b and like it for what I paid for it.

Cant wait for mine. I have express shipping and it said it was going to arrive the 17 of december but now it says 23december -_-

I ordered mine from an Ebay seller claiming it was US stock. When I finally got tracking info and looked into it it came from China which is why it took so much longer. Hate when sellers do stuff like this. Also when sellers say USPS priority then ship it ground. Drives me nuts. ?? ?

I always check the shippijg method first i don't belive what they say in the pictures a lot claim to be USA stock. I just hope mine arrives tomorrow or tuesday i don't want to wait to 23 of december might drive me nuts

The problem with that for me is Ive had sellers straight up tell me in a message it would be Priority, then ship ground. Then when I bring it up there like "Its free shipping, you cant complain". Yes I can, when you straight up lie, especially when I choose that seller over others ONLY because of the claimed faster shipping.

And what I meant when I said they say US stock, I don't mean the pics they add to the item pics. I mean in the shipping description it will say the state and US.

2 questions for anyone that might know. 1st question is what is the normal run time on these? I'm getting about 5 minutes which seems kind of ridiculous but maybe that's normal. The other question is what is the mode button on the transmitter for? It has the number 1 2 3 and 4 and I was just curious as to what its for? I'm thinking it might be channels for other cars. Thx

The mode does nothing i think

Well I guess the 5 minute run time is actually about right. I looked it up and it pretty much says 6-7 minutes everywhere. So Ill be looking into higher MAH packs. Anyone know of a higher MAH 2s pack that will fit for sure? Thanks
Like a 2000mah long one should fit when you extend the baterry tray

What are the dimensions of the stock battery?

You might need a longer velcro strap and move the battery retainers out to run these. These batteries are a little smaller than a BIC lighter https://hobbyking.com/en_us/turnigy...ck-suits-1-16th-monster-beatle-sct-buggy.html

If you run a longer strap and cut the outsides off the battery retainers these just barely fit. https://hobbyking.com/en_us/turnigy-2200mah-2s-40c-lipo-pack-1.html
