Clearly a broken tooth. Easy fix. Get another one.

Note: unfortunately, you can't buy a single tooth

Make sure to put a shim on the gear side between the bearing and gearbox when you put it back together!

You can drive it , but it won't last. When you replace it , replace the pinion as well.

All it takes for the diff to start skipping is the tips of a couple teeth missing.

The 2 teeth here with the tips missing caused mine to skip when accelerating or braking:
