I replaced the stock radio with a Spektrum dx5c and srs6000 receiver (clearance, 50% off and I can finally use the same radio for all cars).

I did the bind and calibrate procedure using a new car profile and my Typhon is noticeably slower than with the stock radio.

Afaik it goes the right way (forward is forward, you brake before reversing, in two steps ) but reversing is super violent, more so than forward, even at max punch on the ESC.

Any idea? Do I need to adjust throttle travel beyond 100% for some reason? EPA is default.

I spent 3hours trying to make sense of the problem but I'm at a loss

Reverse stronger then forward is normally a symptom of the ESC thinking forward is backwards. If you are double-tapping to get into reverse, though, I am not sure.

Yeah it makes no sense. I'm going to try and reset everything and see what happens.
