Hi, forum room i have a question I want to change my plastic spur gear in my Arrma granite 4x4 mega, if I buy the metal spur can I use the same places that holds the plastic one? I have the new motor mount on there already im upgrading to the hobbywing max10 sct 4000kv combo. Just wanting to know if I can before I make a mistake and regret it.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated thanks.

Probably not... the plastic mega motor plate is appropriate for 48dp gears. The metal spur gear is 32dp/0.8mod. Better to buy the arrma/hot racing (or if you aee in the uk check out customrc https://customrcupgrades.com/product/arrma-3s-and-4s-motor-mount/) adjustable motor plate (if you have a v2 mega you will need to replace the whole motor module) so you have plenty of options for pinion gears.

Or check out the breakers and buy a whole new motor module.

Thanks for the advice I have the red motor mount in the mega I bought and replaced the original one, and I didn't want to change the spur plate i bought this and wanted to know if there's any peices from the plastic one that I might need to use to complete these new spur gear.

Ah - yes you will need the slipper shaft ar310881. The 57t 3s slipper is completely different to the mega. You did the right thing buying the whole assembly.

This is my mega since the motor combo upgrade ran it once it takes off like a bat mobile but don't wanna screw anything up so i put it up, I think its a 14 or 15 pinion on the motor I don't remember I have to open and look it came with the combo. I also have the blx one as well on that one I broke a arm one day and replaced all 4 arms on it. So the mega is my fixer upper and the blx is my basher..

Thank you I know how to put things together but after seeing videos assembly of the slipper I said no way I'm buying one assembled already if I find one in my price range and I found one.
