New to this speed run thing.

Hay guys and gals... So Im new to speed runs and have presently the xlx2 but could only find the 800kv so running 42/20 and don't know if maybe changing the gear size in n the front and rear diffs would make a difference. Any one have experience with this?

Gp5 diffs from infraction will give about 30ish mph depending on setup,,800kv is low so not sure,gave me 32mph on my 1460kv setup

Yep get the Infraction V2 GP5 15/42 diffs instead.

The GP5 diffs will definitely help but with the low kv motor you'll still need to run some big pinions for sure.

I've learned the hard way that ya don't want your center shafts spinning high rpms.Sh*t gets torn up when something comes apart. gp5 diffs help that.speed that's gained after center shafts

Right, I read too fast again. But as long as he continually monitors the heat, a little experimenting isn't bad.

Never owned a sensered motor. But I think ya can set it to shut off before overheating. Xlx2&2028 is good for rc up to 45lbs.id imagine heat wouldn't be much of a problem till 140++

Yep you can set the motor temp shutoff to a safe range. I use 180F as my shut off.
