The new 40 can released by TP Power !!
Tp 4080cm - 40mm x 117mm
2022kv 8s and 2700 6s motor
Wattage looks abit higher than the 5660 im using in the limitless atm.

After Cordova and neu bringing out longer 40 cans to the market, its great that TP have joined in too.

Ive ordered one via ONYX RC and he will offer custom kv for people wanting them.

so, whos getting one?

That's the lo gest 40mm isn't it
For tp yes.
Around size of cordovas 1445 (114mm) can
But i think Neu 1539 is 130mm!!

Also a chinese company zf power make 118mm motors ( look a copy of TP Power)

Lots of people tried the Neu 1530 and 1539 and were disappointed. Most all the guys I know who got them sold them.
Lots of empty can space inside that was not used and some reported that they pulled very high amps and didnt perform well.

I cannot say for sure this TP Motor will be the same scenario, but I doubt it will out perform a 56mm motor.
If we could only get some better 4 pole 56mm motors!!!

Sounds disappointing on the 1533-1539, as well being really expensive.

I doubt TP will take this route , 4080cm being only 10mm more than a 4070.
ONYX RC are working with TP to bring new motors to the market.

From what ive heard, 4080cm has been tested already.

Ive used a 4070cm 2200 and 5660 1460kv.
Will be interesting to see how 4080cm compares.

You mentioned 56 - 4 Poles. Any info on this?

Cheers

It is just what we need...
If ONYX can help drive that input to TP Power that would be great.

The XLX2 chokes on its rpm sync for 6 pole motors when they go above 30k rpms. This is why everyone has to run 1100-1400kv 6 pole motors with the XLX2.

Ideally we want some 1700-2200 kv options in a 4 pole 56mm setup.

Im not sure what ONYX and T.P have planned, but i think there could be some great options for us speedrunners in the near future....

All these new big motors..xlx2 is starting to look not so almighty....gonna need a XLX3 soon

How much they running?. More than 240$ for 1721???
Has anyone seen them on site yet?
Would be good to know price.

I was already looking at the 4070cm 2950kv ( https://www.tppowerusa.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=20_135_149&product_id=518 ) but this looks to be a tiny bit more powerful. 11,000W = >14HP.

...and my tape measure says it'll still fit in the Vendetta chassis.

...but will I be able to get away with running a MMX8S/Max6 or will I be forced to go XLX2?

The mmx8s would still be enough.
That vendetta would do crazy mph using even a castle mm2 esc and a 4050.

I've run 89mph on 4s and 103mph on 6s with wide suspension, an notorious body on 1/10 lwb chassis...same as vendetta..mmx6s tp4050-2300kv 26/38....that's with open wheels an not aero noto body.logs show there being alot more too...same setup with vendetta body would be different fosho

More weight an more power would be HARD on drivetrain.
