I finally finished upgrading the new Typhon I won here, to a basher. Literally just finished and had a few mins to run it as it was already dark. It ran nicely! Didn't run it enough to even worry about temps.

Thanks to everyone who posted something on here about bashing out the Typhon!! Almost everything I did, I learned here from you awesome bunch of dudes!! Y'all a'ight in my book! (y)🤜🤛🤘🤝✌️😁

Process was a PITA, mainly due to user error. 🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️
  • Stripped a wheel hex set screw
  • Put new center diff together and all filled up with oil and forgot to put the new bearing on
  • Put HR aluminum gear box on front diff.
  • Put rear diff together, remembered bearing and screwed all on rig.....turned around and saw the other HR aluminum gear box case sitting there. Dumb A$$! Took it all apart.
  • Stoopid Basher bumper came with wrong part that was missing 2 holes for the spring. Had to order another.

Tires banged into bumper, so had to cut 1/2" off both sides of bumper. Turned out well.

Wanted to raise the body for clearance, room for fans to breath, and wanted to install the Noto6s center roll hoop. So installed body mounts in rear and front from the Noto6s. The front one I just cut one end flat, drilled a hole and screwed it on like the stock one. Worked great! Came across a YT vid from a year ago by @Edough13 about that! Thanks man!! 😁(y)

It was all worth it (so far!)! I got plenty of juice left to run some more tomorrow and really test him out!!😁✌️

Here's the deets:

Thanks! Yeah, I was bummed it was dark when I was all ready. I'll get the ramp out tomorrow! (y)😁✌️

Agreed!!!🥰🤘
I think that body is what drew me in when I bought my 1st hobby grade- 3s typhon. Those muscular front shoulders, the sweeping curves back, the perfectly form fitting & functional vents behind the cockpit, then that spine!!! 🤤Beautiful 🤩 I do love the look of buggies in general, but am not a fan of the axis bodies, just don't like the big bulbous bump of the cockpit 🤷‍♂️just me. Wondering if any other manufacturer's bodies would fit? Do like the look of the Teknos

I was able to squeeze in some time with the Basher Typhon (name pending) yesterday. 🤗 He kept buggin' me all day with "I wanna go out and play! Get the ramp out, let's get high!" 😂 So we did. Placed it on the driveway going into the grass for the 1st time. Always used it in the grass before with Biggie (aka Noto6s). A lot better being able to get more speed up to the ramp. Can't wait to let Biggie have a turn.

This thing was flying HIGH! 🙀 Only got about a dozen jumps in before breaking one of the rear shock rod ends though. O well...Easy-peasy fix! 😉😀 Drove well on the pavement too with those fat tires. Now Biggie has a buddy to bash around with! 🥰😆😁✌️

Enjoy the quick vid. Just a few jumps made the cut. This thing is def different in the air than Biggie. I'm gonna need some more practice landing it! 😂 I tried a diff view from 2 cameras........both were too close for the 1st bunch of jumps. 🤦‍♂️

I want one of them Ramps. What is that?

TBR ramp. Got it about 2 months before they went out of business. I'm gonna try to make some like it. It doesn't look hard at all to replicate. We'll see. 😁
