Arrma RC's
  1. Outcast 6s
Guys I want to put something more powerful in my K6. I want it to be a direct fit with no modifications but also has to have more power than the stock motor… can anyone help me out here?

Why more power needing a motor. A 1650kv motor might help and will need the appropriate Pinon gear for it. But...........
Have you adjusted the ESC settings at all? Punch, Timing, Etc.? Read the manual. Lipo's matter also. So do tires. Many variables to consider.
Have you purchased several Pinion gears to dial in your speed/ torque?
Not sure what you have tried. But just wanting more power/ $new motor$, before adjusting what you got there is not smart. You are far reaching perhaps.
Work with what you got. Like @Moirae stated, The Stocker ESC will become the weak link if you toss in a 1650kv motor. The stocker motor and ESC are powerful, if you tweak the setup first. K6 doesn't need 8s IMHO. But that is always an $option$. Breaking much of the drivetrain in the process.
I run 6s in all my 1/8-1/7 scale Arrma's. Plenty fast for me.
Just my spin.

It depends how deep your wallet is.

I haven't long fitted a max6 4985-1650 combo to my Outcast and I am super happy with it. More power than is really usable and didn't break the bank.

I am eyeing a TP motor for my Talion at some point. They seem to perform amazingly

Agreed, hobbywing 4985 1650kv max6 is awesome, have one in my Kraton6s as well.😍🤩 Actually tested top speed today & pulled a 65mph pass w/ a cold, not fully charged lipo😃

My mistake, I just assumed that was a gimme… yes esc also.
I have to agree with everyone else and say a max 6 combo! great easy drop in upgrade with tons of power and doesn't break the bank. Can probably use nerdthenewcool code on hobbywing website to save some coins on it too. Or you can get it from radiocontrolpower.com if you prefer to get it pre soldered.

Hehe I basically have a mmx8s and TP motor in almost everything I own. My talion rocking the tp 4070 2080kv, thing is a ripper! I've spent so much money on TP motors I probably have enough to open my own store if I ever quit the hobby. Definitely my GO TO motor brand. :ROFLMAO:

I like what @SrC and @ross_jsy posted. It all comes down to how you want to use that power.

I have a KEXB 6S and I went with the poplar HW1650 motor and Max6 ESC. Just too much power, but many are into that. Rig is a Hulk at that setup.

I would be the oddball and not the exception to the rule of 1650/Max6 @6S. I love the setup on 4S with a 20T pinion... a great balance of power/control. Ran it again Wednesday against my best friend Traxxas Revo 6S, and both rigs were in a dog fight all that way. What I grain still with torque and power is more technical control @4S with the bigger pinion. No breakage!!!

Best of luck I in finding your solution...just sharing!

Is it a direct fit?
The Max6 4985 1650kv combo? Then yes, go for it!!! I've got the same combo in every one of my off-road bashers

Is it a direct fit?
Yes, the 1650kv motor is a direct fit to the stock motor mount. The Max6 ESC will fit on the existing stock ESC plate, BUT you will need to do some slight modifications to it. The point is it the ESC plate can work without a purchase of a new Max6 plate.
