Kraton Noisy Gears after removing and installing motor

Hi all

so recently I pulled the motor to install the Arrma heat sink, after putting the motor back in. The gears sound like they are making more noise then before.

be a difficulty question to answer but how tight do you push the motor against the gear before tensioning the bolts

no crunching just sounds like it’s louder then before

It's called gear mesh, look it up on Youtube and how to set it.
It's a combo of pushing motor in, light torque on screws, checking the mesh and rinse and repeat until it's right.

Put a piece of paper between the gears and then tighten the motor down. The paper should just barely come out when when you turn the spur gear if the mesh is set correctly. It it shreds, the mesh is too tight.

Yeah it is easy to do on the 6s line, not so much with the 3s.
