Totally unfamiliar and uncomfortable with small electronics and I’m having a hard time knowing the right questions to ask Dr. Google (or Dr. GPT for those extra tech savvy folks).
TL;DR- looking for a simple, clean install parts list to upgrade the Gorgon to brushless 2s that won’t require modifying my spektrum batteries.
I’d like to plan to replace the brushed motor in my Gorgon with a brushless one when it breaks. I’m still learning all this stuff so if I can keep everything Spektrum so it all works together I’m fine with spending a few extra dollars. I’m not ready yet to Frankenstein something together. Alternatively a set of electronics that’s proven to work together with the IC3 connector so I don’t have to solder anything is fine.
I’m not looking to go 3s because it’s already hard to drive in our local clay track with 2s lol. So I don’t need more power per se, but it would be nice to know I don’t have to replace the motor every few months. I also have seen some people say you’ll need to also replace XYZ when you go brushless and that’s where it starts to go over my head. So if I was to go brushless what’s the most efficient way to go about it?
