Not Arrma, yet a learning experience for better

So I’ve been absent from my Arrma groups because I’ve been building a speed run car. I love my off road Arrma, but the group I’m around also does road course with Infractions and a few other high end cars. I’m just getting back into it and speed is difficult. Oddly I ordered a WL124019 just for fun when fast just isn’t an option. Before it was delivered I had already found a brushless upgrade and had it waiting. 2s I’m getting 56mph, and 3s topped out at 81mph. Not bad for about $210, but now it’s not enough, and have about $500 into it now in upgrades. Crashed out a week ago and finally got parts I ordered a month ago. Hopefully set some be PB soon. 118mph is the record for this platform. I suspect I will eventually go with a better platform for higher speed, but making this cheap car fast has taught me so much, plus the support online even beats out many other.

Nice. These WL Toys are great for learning about speed running on a budget. I've got a 144001 converted to brushless 5200 kv and a 60a ESC. On stock gearing to achieve the same results on 2s and so far on 3s I've got 124kph/77mph but haven't maxed it out yet. I'm still very much new it speed runs.

Yeah definitely cheaper than crashing any of my Arrma parts take forever and I always seem to break something I don’t have. Good car for the money, but a challenge to get it to go fast straight
