Arrma RC's
  1. Outcast 6s
Starting a thread on my Outcast 2018, which started out as a orange Outcast and now is blue a Notorious 2019.

Bought all parts which were new on the 2019 Noto/Outcast from Jennys RC.

Other than that, it has
RPM A-arms front and rear, wing mount dirt guards and skid plates.
Upgraded shock rod ends, just bash it servo mount, Savöx SW1210SG servo, just bash it Shock towers front and rear. Sealed bearings all over and some other small things.

Waiting for a delivery from M2C Racing with a bunch of things.
Will update with pictures when i recieve it and as i go along.

Anyone have input on suspension mounts?
The ones that hold the hingepins in place.

Meanwhile i can post these pictures of when i tried to straighten the front A-arms by boiling them. Worked excellent.

Before and after pictures.

LOL

Heat makes some Plastic and Rubber get hard or almost hardened. Then they start crack easy or loose the grip alot.

Example:
You have almost new Ferrari. You need Change the rear tires.
You will avoid heavy burnouts , because ths makes your soft new nice tires hard and useless

Maybe this works anyway with RPM stuff ?
They got some special blend ..

Normally you don't want do this.
New RPMs is just about 30bucks front and rear.

Interesting thought, guess we will see. I have a new RPM set lying on the bench, but i thougt i would try this out first.
Here in Sweden they are a bit more for a complete set. But they do take alot of other beating than just being bent and its always nice with new parts also?

So a small update, the plans expanded or what to call it.
I realized i had alot of spare parts over, motor, ESC, tx and rx, and alot of other parts.
So i thought i would build a Kraton from this as i sold the one i had, and really miss it. And fun to build one from scratch with desired parts so i ordered chassie and braces etc from M2C Racing, and some parts from Jennys.

Really cool packaging on the PPS diff mount, 3D printed case?

I will finnish this Kraton before i get back on the Outcast, now i stolen some nice parts from the Outcast, for the new Kraton build so will have to invest in some more parts soon ?

Also bought and first time using a proper shock tool when building shocks! Really really nice tool that i should have gotten way before!
i got the Tekno one, really nice!
And the o-ring (dentist) tool is also very handy in alot of situations

This happened i think from tires being vented on the inside of the rim instead of the tire.
One of the front tires weighed like 88 times its original weight with gravel and water inside. Which i think put alot of stress on the diffs. This happened when driving on ice.

The diffs holds up really well IMO other than that.

Some pictures, the Kraton is about finished. Waiting for hubs front and rear. Can mention that i was not able to fit the PPS diff mount together with my M2C chassie and the Arrma aluminium diff case. It would not fit in between.
Bob at PPS showed great customer service and great interest in why this combo did not work out for me, the PPS mount fits fine on standard chassie with aluminium diff case.
But not on M2C.
So went with standard diff mount and alu case on the Kraton.

Will try the GPM turnbuckles, they are alot tighter but have a feeling they will snap easier.

80wt oil in shocks, diffs 30k rear, 300k center, 50k front.

Last picture: quick fix on 4 months year old sons broken Crib, broken wood fixed with a Outcast chassie?
Time to introduce Arrma in his life?

how did the GPM turnbuckles go? i’ve purchased some but am yet to install them
i’ve read of people breaking them quite easily ??

cool build though man ???

haven't gotten to test the car yet☹️ The parts from Jennys rc took an eternity to arrive, they shipped fast but shipment time from the US to Sweden can take a really long time thrue customs and so on.
But i recently got the parts, so am about to install the last missing parts and try it, i also think they wont last long, actually didnt install the front ones as i know the standard steel also brakes now and then.

But i think i will install them to see how long they hold up?

Thanks?
