Oh painting gurus. How translucent before backing is bad

I used Tamiya 100ml can on a 66 ford granite body. Got 3 ish coats. It's still a little translucent. Should I buy another can of just back it with white now?

White should be fine, too much paint for one body imo, but not everybody works with sprayable paint everyday like me. ?

All the anodized paint in that line is gonna be somewhat translucent before backing. Not as much as the iridescent tamiya paint, but not too far behind if you’re familiar with how those go on.

I’ve found that no matter what color a whole can of PS-xxx will suffice on an off road 1/8th scale body. Some will have you second guessing another can but one takes the backer color every time
